About Us

Whether you run a gastropub, a wine bar, a neighborhood grill, or a fine dining restaurant, you need us. And we need you too. We have all the textiles you need to run your kitchen, outfit your staff, and dress your tables. From basic, cost-effective, and no frills, to high-end Egyptian cotton woven by a family-run mill in Milan, Italy, and everything in between.

We are W.H. Linen Rental. We exist to make restaurants successful. It’s a point of pride, it’s bragging rights, it’s what we’re good at. You exist to serve, and so do we.

Back in 1937, Willy Hermanns Sr. (“W.H.”, get it?) started his laundry by making deliveries to bakeries and butcher shops in his Model T truck. After graduating from Northwestern University in 1967, Willy’s son Bill began working full time at WH, and then took over the business in 1971. During his tenure, W.H. Linen ceased to be a small towel company, and became a major player in New Jersey.

To facilitate its growth, Bill built W.H. Linen’s current home in 1998. A 50,000 square foot, state-of-the art facility in Clifton, NJ, 13 miles from Time Square, it is situated perfectly to serve the needs of New York City, as well as Northern New Jersey.

W.H. Linen Rental has grown from a company that dabbles in the Manhattan restaurant world, to one that specializes in it.

W.H. Linen strives to be the quality provider in the New York-New Jersey market, with the best product, the best processing, and the best service in the industry. But just as important, W.H. Linen is driven by conscience. We support Table to Table and City Harvest in the fight against hunger, and in 2012 we became the first linen supplier in the New York area to be certified green, and as of today, we are still the only linen supplier endorsed by the Green Restaurant Association.

Christopher Hermanns
President

Christopher has been at W.H. Linen since 2003, and has been its President since 2011, the third generation of the Hermanns family to lead the company. Christopher is both a student of, and friend to, the restaurant industry, and also an expert in textiles, making him a useful person for a restaurateur to talk to about how best to approach linen rental. Christopher has also tried to make sure that W.H. Linen operates with a conscience, from being one of the first commercial laundries to achieve Green certification, to working closely with hunger-related charities like Table to Table.

Adam Rickles
Director of Service

Adam Rickles, Director of Service for WH Linen Rental, has been with the company for 29 years as of January 1988. Adam has served the company in several capacities beginning as Route Supervisor covering the New York City area, then Account Service Manager in 1990 before rising to his current position in 2000. Adam brings a wealth of experience in the linen industry to assist our customers with every aspect of their linen needs.

Arabel Hermanns
Plant Manager

Arabel came to W.H. Linen Rental in 2002, new to this country and looking for her first job. She distinguished herself in the factory as a production employee, but quickly showed she had much more to offer. A couple of years spend learning office functions and the systems that drive the company were well-spent, but Arabel was anxious to bring her experiences back to the factory in a supervisory role. She was promoted to Plant Manager in 2010, after showing that she could both maximize the productivity, and earn the loyalty, of the production floor. With so much focus on smooth operations, Arabel brings an unparalleled eye for quality to her work.

Will Lawson
Senior Route Supervisor

Will Lawson is the Senior Route Supervisor of W.H. Linen Rental. Will began his professional career at WH Linen Rental as a shipping clerk before becoming a Route Representative a year later. Will has shown himself to be equally adept at managing the distribution side of the business, and also providing exceptional service to our customers.

Kyle Cooper
Sales Manager

Kyle Cooper has been a Sales Manager for W. H. Linen Rental for eight years. Her primary responsibility is to introduce W.H. Linen Rental new and prospective customers. Prior experience in restaurants, and in interior design enable Kyle to be uniquely helpful to a restaurant looking to upgrade its linen service. In her spare time she volunteers to help City Harvest and is currently a committee member at Table to Table, a community based charity that delivers perishable food the hungry in northern New Jersey.

Brian Oels
Plant Manager

Brian’s got soap in his veins, born into a laundry family, and growing up in OK Towel and Uniform Supply before coming to W.H. Linen in 2002, first as Production Manager, then as one of W.H. Linen’s Plant Managers. He brings a wealth of experience to the operation, with a good understanding of both the machinery and the chemistry, and work flow.

Sandra Torres
Customer Service Supervisor

Lisandra “Sandra” Torres has been the Customer Service Supervisor at W.H. Linen for the past 18 years. In addition to overseeing the other Customer Service Reps, Sandra interacts with our customers all day every day. Her knowledge and understanding of customer needs make her an invaluable member of the team, and the friendships she has made among our customers have lasted years.

Ludy Lopez
Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Ludy came to us at the age of 19 as a file clerk, and for the past 14 years has worked in accounts receivable, first as a clerk, and today as the Supervisor. She works very closely with our customers to keep accounts current, and to answer all questions and requests for documents. Ludy walks a very difficult line between taking great pride in her work, and treating customers with sensitivity and patience.

Sanya Medina
Customer Service Representative

Migdalia Rivera
Financial Manager

Mig came to W.H. Linen Rental in 1995, and it remains to this day the only company she’s ever worked for. She was trained in most office functions during her early years, before rising to her current position as a Financial Manager. Mig is skilled in both accounts receivable and accounts payable, and works closely with our vendors to ensure that we have what we need to serve our customers.
